The Renaissance Geek
"There was a goblin, or a trickster or a warrior, a nameless, terrible thing. Soaked in the blood of a million galaxies, the most feared being in alll the cosmos. Nothing could stop it or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world."

A Renaissance man was a gentleman during the Renaissance era who was known to excel in multiple fields, whether it be math, art, music, swordfighting, sports, etc. It embodied the basic tenets of Renaissance Humanism which considered man empowered, limitless in his capacities for development, and led to the notion that people should embrace all knowledge and develop their capacities as fully as possible. Thus the gifted men of the Renaissance sought to develop skills in all areas of knowledge, in physical development, in social accomplishments and in the arts.

Today, a Renaissance geek is much like that, dabbling in all things geekery, whether it be fandoms of all shapes and sizes, computer work, history or even just scientific crap.
